The research that the Evolutive Biology Unit carries is centered in the comprehension of the genomic diversity in human beings and other species, superior primates mainly. Through the description of the genomic diversity between the human specie and the others we attempt to: 1) Reconstruct the genesis process of difference; 2) Comprehend the evolutive mechanisms that led to those differences; 3) Apply the knowledge of those genomic differentiations to the study of diseases; and 4) Give an explanation to the observed phenomenoms.
